Practical baby purchases: husband edition...

Today is Good Friday which means that my husband had the day off from work, and we had time to go check out some strollers. The fancy stroller that we want is only available in one store in basically all of Houston, USABaby. Yes, we chanted "USA! USA!" the whole way there. Anyway, we did agree on the stroller we want, which I will address at a later time. After we were in agreeance about the stroller, we looked around for a bit. This store is unlike Babies R Us in that it's mostly a showroom for baby furniture and decor. MOSTLY...

And well there isn't much else to say. This is my husband's first purchase for the baby...

Can you see how sketchy this store is? Look at that scary, abandoned parking lot...

We knew we would have to introduce the girls to the new giraffe slowly and thoughtfully...

Final approval by the big sisters...

Practical, right? I feel like the baby already likes dad more, because lame ole mom is just buying things like onesies and blankets. But dad, that guy bought a totally frivolous, yet totally awesome giraffe the baby can't play with until it's about two years old (the recommended age is 3+). They had like 10 of these giraffes high up on shelves where only giants like my husband can reach. We brought down three giraffes just to make sure we left with the most perfect one.

If you too would like an oversized giraffe for your baby's nursery, you can check it out at Melissa & Doug.

Love,
Lauren
